It’s December and everyone is posting about Holiday Outfits, Holiday Decor, Holiday Food and what they got for Christmas. And I’m over here like…IT”S ONLY 7 MORE DAYS UNTIL WE LEAVE FOR OUR CRUISE!
Where I live its full-blown winter. There’s snow on the ground, icicles hanging from the eaves, frost on the windshields, the whole nine yards. So naturally, trying to find cute summer clothes in any of our local stores is pretty much out of the question. Thankfully there is Amazon Prime! Not only was I able to find some cruise “Must Haves” but I also found a ton of affordable cruise-worthy clothes, shoes & accessories!
I decided early on that I was going to purchase everything I could using Amazon Prime with the Free Returns. That way I could receive the items quickly, try them on if needed and easily return anything that didn’t fit or otherwise work out, for free. I purchased quite a few items and ended up returning about half of them for various reasons. However, I also took the time and did some research before I purchased anything. I read all the reviews and looked at all the reviewer’s pictures before making a purchase. Doing some research really paid off! I didn’t return anything based on quality. It was either because it didn’t fit because the color was a little different than expected or because I decided we just didn’t need it.
So, here’s everything that you might need for a cruise and then some, complete with links for easy shopping!
Most cruise cabins only have one outlet so trying to plug in phone charges, hair driers, and other hair tools can be a challenge. A Power Strip is a cruise necessity! Just make sure you don’t purchase a surge protector since those are not allowed on cruise ships. This Power Strip with 3 additional outlets and 3 USB ports is perfect!
These Clorox Healthcare Bleach Germicidal Wipes are essential to keeping your flight and cruise cabin germ-free. These wipes are the kind that will kill the Norovirus, C.diff spores and MRSA among other nasty little germs! These are hospital-grade cleaning wipes and not meant to be used on the skin. In fact, disposable gloves should be used to protect your hands.
Whether you’re a big drinker or worried about eating certain foods in a different country, Activated Charcoal Capsules are essential to any vacation! Charcoal helps rid the body of unwanted toxins and carries them out before they can be absorbed into the body. A hangover must have!
Cruise Luggage Tags are another essential to keep your vacation running smoothly. When you go on a cruise you are supplied with luggage tags that can quickly help identify what floor you are on and expedite getting your luggage to your room.
This “Cruise Control” T-Shirt is one way you can add some whimsy to your cruise. It’s fun to have other people in your cruise party to get the same shirt. Just make sure you don’t forget to take a group picture! The shirt itself is great quality, super soft and runs TTS.
These Starfish Hair Clips are great quality for the price of only $6.99 and what a fun way to dress up any outfit! I can see me wearing these in my hair for a formal night look or just a sitting-by-the-pool-all-day-look!
I love this Kimono style swimsuit Cover-Up. It’s beautiful and I can use it for the beach or for sitting by the pool. I can also pair it with some jean shorts and a tank top for a fun day look too! Bringing clothing items that can be worn a couple of different ways is the key to not overpacking!
I was extremely hesitant to purchase a bathing suit from Amazon but I was pleasantly surprised! This Off Shoulder Ruffle Swimsuit is unlike anything I could have found in store and I love the look and the fit of it. I feel like it runs TTS. However, I got a large to be on the safe side and it is a little big on me. But, since I’m in between sizes right now and I have a larger chest size (36DD) I wanted to make sure the fit was comfortable and it definitely is!
I adore this Sequin Seashell Tank! The picture does not do this tank top justice. It’s much prettier in person and very well made. This one is taking me out of my comfort zone a little bit but I thought it was so cute, I couldn’t pass it up! I’m not usually one to draw attention to “the girls” but Hey, I’m on vacation! Right?!
This Small Tassell Crossbody Bag is a perfect size and I love the style! While on a cruise it’s nice to have a bag that’s small and lightweight. This easily fits a phone, a lip product or two, small powder compact and your sign & sail card. And it’s cute!
A cruise vacation is not complete without some cute sandals! These Elastic Flat Sandals are super comfy and at only $12.99, a total steal! Plus, they are lightweight, compact and that makes for easy packing.
These are just a few of the items that I ended up keeping. I also found some other super cute clothing items for me and some t-shirts and dress shoes for my husband, along with a few other travel accessories. Let me know in the comments below if you would like me to share more of my “Amazon Cruise Must Haves” and I’ll do a Part 2!
In the meantime…Keep Calm and Cruise On!!
